Fort Thomas Apaches (Fort Thomas, AZ) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hayden Lobos (Winkelman, AZ), 71-16 in a league bout.

With the win, Fort Thomas upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Apaches travel to Dishchii’bikoh (Cibecue, AZ) to clash with the Wildcats in a 1A Copper bout on Thursday, January 5. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Dishchii’bikoh lost 37-34 in their recent non-league game against San Pasqual Valley (Winterhaven, CA)

With the defeat, Hayden moves to 1-10 on the year. The Lobos host Joseph City (Joseph City, AZ) to face the Wildcats in a 1A Copper game on Thursday, January 5. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 10-3. Joseph City won 47-26 in their recent non-league game against Veritas Prep (Phoenix, AZ)
