Knott County Central Patriots (Hindman, KY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host June Buchanan Crusaders (Pippa Passes, KY), 60-17 in a league bout.

With the win, Knott County Central upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Patriots host Letcher County Central (Whitesburg, KY) to clash with the Cougars / Lady Cougars in a District 53 bout on Friday, January 6. The Cougars / Lady Cougars go into the bout with a record of 3-4.

Next up, the Crusaders clash with the Fairview Eagles (Ashland, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. June Buchanan will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 58-18 non-league win over Hannan (Ashton, WV).
