The Ludlow Panthers (Ludlow, KY) basketball felled the host Newport Wildcats (Newport, KY), 67-52 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Panthers (5-5) will now prepare for their test against Holy Cross (Covington, KY). The Indians go into the non-league test with a 12-4 record. In their last test, Holy Cross thwarted St. Henry (Erlanger, KY), 48-26, in a non-league test.
The Wildcats now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Highlands for a District 36 test on Tuesday, January 10.
