The New Hampstead Phoenix (Savannah, GA) basketball knocked off the host St. Andrew's Lions (Savannah, GA), 36-28 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Phoenix (8-3) will now prepare for their test against Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA). The Yellowjackets go into the AAAA Region 3 test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Southeast Bulloch notched a victory over Toombs County (Lyons, GA), 49-21, in a non-league test.
The Lions now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Hilton Head Prep for a non-league test on Saturday, January 7. St. Andrew's will encounter a Dolphins squad coming off a 64-12 non-league loss to Savannah Country Day (Savannah, GA). The Dolphins record now stands at 3-5.
