The West Stokes Wildcats (King, NC) basketball nipped the visiting North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC), 40-39 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Wildcats (3-10) will now prepare for their test against T.W. Andrews (High Point, NC). The Red Raiders go into the 2A Conference 34 test with a 7-3 record. In their last test, T.W. Andrews got by North Forsyth (Winston-Salem, NC), 42-28, in a league test.
The Vikings now own a 9-6 record. They play next when they host Mount Airy for a 1A Conference 36 test on Friday, January 6. North Stokes will encounter a Granite Bears squad coming off a 57-13 non-league win over Thomasville (Thomasville, NC). The Granite Bears record now stands at 7-2.
