The Northside Vikings basketball team (Roanoke, VA), was nudged 52-48 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Salem Spartans (Salem, VA)
The Spartans now possess a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cave Spring for a River Ridge battle on Friday, January 6. Salem will confront a Knights team coming off a 53-39 league loss to Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA). The Knights record now stands at 8-2.
The Vikings (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Fleming (Roanoke, VA). The Colonels come into the Blue Ridge battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, Fleming was nudged by Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC), 47-42, in a non-league battle.
