In Wednesday's league challenge, the North Haven Nighthawks (North Haven, CT) ice hockey team nudged the visiting Watertown/Pomperaug Indians (Watertown, CT), by a margin of 3-2.
The Nighthawks now possess a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Amity Regional for a Southern Connecticut - DII challenge on Saturday, January 7. North Haven will clash with a Spartans team coming off a 5-1 league loss to Cheshire (Cheshire, CT). The Spartans record now stands at 0-2.
The Indians (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Stamford/Westhill (Stamford, CT). The enter the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Stamford/Westhill tipped Shepaug/Litchfield/Nonnewaug/Thomaston (Washington, CT), 8-3, in a non-league challenge.
