In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Amherst County Lancers basketball team scored a good 43-33 triumph over the Appomattox County Raiders.
In their next game, the Lancers meet the Brookville Bees (Lynchburg, VA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, January 5. Amherst County will attempt to move on its 6-3 season record.
With the defeat, Appomattox County moves to 2-2 on the year. The Raiders travel to Dan River (Ringgold, VA) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league match on Friday, January 6.
