The Lugoff-Elgin Demons basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the host Crestwood Knights to 34 in the Demons non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Demons now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ridge View for a contest on Thursday, January 5. Lugoff-Elgin will battle a Blazers team coming off a 42-36 non-league win over Orangeburg-Wilkinson (Orangeburg, SC). The Blazers record now stands at 3-1.

The Knights (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Marlboro County (Bennettsville, SC). The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Marlboro County was defeated by Darlington (Darlington, SC), 39-26, in a league contest.
