North Carolina High School Basketball - North Pitt holds off SouthWest Edgecombe

January 4, 2023: Pinetops, NC 27864

Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the North Pitt Panthers (Bethel, NC) and the host SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC), saw North Pitt's basketball squad hold off SouthWest Edgecombe by a tally of 50-48.

With the victory, North Pitt improves its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Ayden - Grifton (Ayden, NC) to confront the Chargers in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 6. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 2-5.

Next up, the Cougars confront the Tarboro Vikings (Tarboro, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. SouthWest Edgecombe will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record.
