Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Anderson County Mavericks (Clinton, TN) and the host Oliver Springs Bobcats (Oliver Springs, TN), saw Anderson County's basketball squad hold off Oliver Springs by a tally of 61-54.
With the victory, Anderson County improves its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Mavericks host Campbell County (Jacksboro, TN) to confront the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 5. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 6-9. Campbell County won 69-62 in their recent non-league challenge against Oneida (Oneida, TN)
Next up, the Bobcats confront the Rockwood Tigers (Rockwood, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 5. Oliver Springs will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 9-2 record after their 76-67 non-league win over Meigs County (Decatur, TN).
