The Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds basketball team (Winthrop, MN), was nudged 86-80 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting B O L D Warriors (Olivia, MN)
The Warriors now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sauk Centre for a non-league battle on Friday, January 5. B O L D will battle a Mainstreeters team coming off a 72-50 non-league win over Big Lake (Big Lake, MN). The Mainstreeters record now stands at 7-1.
The Thunderbirds (3-6) will now prepare for their battle against Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart (Hector, MN). The Mustangs come into the A Section 2 battle with a 1-8 record. In their last battle, Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart was nudged by Central Minnesota Christian (Prinsburg, MN), 78-19, in a non-league battle.
