Virginia High School Basketball - Battlefield topped by Patriot

The Patriot Pioneers basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the host Battlefield Bobcats to 58 in the Pioneers league victory on Thursday.
The Pioneers now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Unity Reed for a Cedar Run contest on Friday, January 5. Patriot will battle a Lions team coming off a 73-64 non-league loss to Park View (Sterling, VA). The Lions record now stands at 3-11.
The Bobcats (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Freedom (South Riding, VA). The Eagles come into the Cedar Run contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Freedom prevailed over Woodbridge (Woodbridge, VA), 57-40, in a non-league contest.
