The Benson Tech Techmen basketball team scored 78 points and restricted the visiting McDaniel Mountain Lions to 57 in the Techmen league victory on Thursday.

The Techmen now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jefferson for a 6A Portland contest on Saturday, January 6. Benson Tech will battle a Democrats team coming off a 61-51 league loss to Grant (Portland, OR). The Democrats record now stands at 7-4.

The Mountain Lions (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Franklin (Portland, OR). The Quakers come into the 6A Portland contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Franklin was routed by Lincoln (Portland, OR), 75-58, in a league contest.
