The South Shore Cardinals (Port Wing, WI) basketball crushed the visiting Butternut Midgets (Butternut, WI), 64-28 in Thursday's league test.

The Cardinals (3-6) will now prepare for their test against Drummond (Drummond, WI). The Lumberjacks go into the Northern Lights test with a 8-2 record. In their last test, Drummond was trounced by Solon Springs (Solon Springs, WI), 45-43, in a league test.

The Midgets now own a 0-10 record. They play next when they host Washburn for a Northern Lights test on Monday, January 8. Butternut will encounter a Castle Guards squad coming off a 80-51 league win over Bayfield (Bayfield, WI). The Castle Guards record now stands at 6-1.
