Calexico Bulldogs (Calexico, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Southwest EC Eagles (El Centro, CA), 56-23 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Calexico upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Palo Verde Valley (Blythe, CA) to clash with the Yellow Jackets in a Imperial Valley bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Palo Verde Valley lost 50-44 in their recent non-league bout against Brawley (Brawley, CA)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Calipatria Hornets (Calipatria, CA) in a Desert bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Southwest EC will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record.
