Maple Grove Crimson (Maple Grove, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Champlin Park Rebels (Champlin, MN), 82-64 in a league bout.

With the win, Maple Grove upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Crimson host Coon Rapids (Coon Rapids, MN) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 6-3. Coon Rapids won 73-41 in their recent non-league bout against Elk River (Elk River, MN)

Next up, the Rebels play the Osseo Orioles (Osseo, MN) in a AAAA Section 5 bout, on Monday, January 8. Champlin Park will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Orioles go into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 75-54 non-league win over Centennial (Circle Pines, MN).
