The Cleburne County Tigers basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Cherokee County Warriors to 48 in the Tigers league triumph on Thursday.

The Tigers now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Central of Clay County for a non-league contest on Monday, January 8. Cleburne County will meet a Volunteers team coming off a 51-42 non-league loss to Handley (Roanoke, AL). The Volunteers record now stands at 10-3.

The Warriors (0-9) will now prepare for their contest against Hokes Bluff (Hokes Bluff, AL). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, Hokes Bluff ran past Bowdon (Bowdon, GA), 57-45, in a non-league contest.
