Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Cranford Cougars (Cranford, NJ) and the visiting Hillside Comets (Hillside, NJ), saw Cranford's basketball squad knock off Hillside by a count of 66-58.

With the victory, Cranford upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Rahway (Rahway, NJ) to play the Indians in a Union County challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 6-5. Rahway won 56-52 in their recent league challenge against Summit (Summit, NJ)

Next up, the Comets play the Rahway Indians (Rahway, NJ) in a Union County challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Hillside will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record.
