Florida High School Basketball - Fort Meade trounces DeSoto County

The Fort Meade Miners (Fort Meade, FL) basketball crushed the visiting DeSoto County Bulldogs (Arcadia, FL), 66-31 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Miners (8-4) will now prepare for their test against Lakeland Christian (Lakeland, FL). The Vikings go into the 3A District 7 test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, Lakeland Christian walloped New Dimensions (Kissimmee, FL), 55-53, in a league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 1-16 record. They play next when they host Avon Park for a 4A District 11 test on Friday, January 5. DeSoto County will encounter a Red Devils squad coming off a 47-42 non-league loss to Timber Creek (Orlando, FL). The Red Devils record now stands at 3-8.
