Olympia Bears (Olympia, WA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Emerald Ridge Jaguars (South Hill, WA), 49-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Olympia upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Bears host Curtis (University Place, WA) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 9-4. Curtis won 54-43 in their recent league bout against Sumner (Sumner, WA)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Rogers Rams (Puyallup, WA) in a 4A South Puget Sound - South bout, on Saturday, January 6. Emerald Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 86-75 league win over Bethel (Spanaway, WA).
