The Genesee Christian Soldiers basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Everest Collegiate to 42 in the Soldiers non-league victory on Thursday.

The Soldiers now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bentley for a Genesee Area - Red contest on Friday, January 5. Genesee Christian will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 69-43 non-league loss to Clio (Clio, MI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-6.

The (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Shrine Catholic (Royal Oak, MI). The Knights come into the Catholic Intersectional I contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Shrine Catholic was defeated by Cardinal Mooney Catholic (Marine City, MI), 61-46, in a league contest.
