Heritage Hurricanes (Newport News, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Gloucester Dukes (Gloucester, VA), 101-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Heritage upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Hurricanes host Indian River (Chesapeake, VA) to clash with the Braves in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Indian River won 54-44 in their recent league bout against Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA)

Next up, the Dukes clash with the Jamestown Eagles (Williamsburg, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 8. Gloucester will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 72-69 league loss to Smithfield (Smithfield, VA).
