Grayling Vikings (Grayling, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host St. Francis Gladiators (Traverse City, MI), 44-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Grayling upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Vikings travel to Harbor Springs (Harbor Springs, MI) to play the Rams in a Lake Michigan bout on Friday, January 5. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Harbor Springs won 52-43 in their recent non-league bout against Shrine Catholic (Royal Oak, MI)

Next up, the Gladiators play the Charlevoix Rayders (Charlevoix, MI) in a Lake Michigan bout, on Wednesday, January 10. St. Francis will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Rayders go into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 52-50 league win over Boyne City (Boyne City, MI).
