With the victory, Greenbrier West improves its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host James Monroe (Lindside, WV) to play the Mavericks in a Coalfield A challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a record of 5-2. James Monroe won 59-51 in their recent league challenge against Webster County (Upper Glade, WV)

Next up, the Patriots play the PikeView Panthers (Princeton, WV) in a Coalfield AA challenge, on Wednesday, January 10. Independence will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record.
