The Ridgewood Maroons (Ridgewood, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Hackensack Comets (Hackensack, NJ), 55-51 in Thursday's league test.

The Maroons (9-1) will now prepare for their test against Kennedy (Paterson, NJ). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 5-2 record. In their last test, Kennedy got by Passaic County Tech (Wayne, NJ), 50-48, in a league test.
