Maynard Tigers (Maynard, AR) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hillcrest Screamin Eagles (Strawberry, AR), 57-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Maynard upgrades its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Marked Tree (Marked Tree, AR) to play the Indians in a 1A Region 3 bout on Friday, January 5. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 14-3. Marked Tree won 50-39 in their recent non-league bout against Concord (Concord, AR)

Next up, the Screamin Eagles play the Crowley's Ridge Academy Falcons (Paragould, AR) in a 1A Region 3 bout, on Friday, January 5. Hillcrest will attempt to upgrade on its 4-20 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 56-55 non-league loss to Bay (Bay, AR).
