Ingomar Falcons (New Albany, MS) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting North Pontotoc Vikings (Ecru, MS), 64-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ingomar upgrades its record to 15-6 on the season. The Falcons host Palmer (Marks, MS) to clash with the Dragons in a 2A Region 2 bout on Friday, January 5. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Palmer lost 60-14 in their recent non-league bout against Coahoma County (Clarksdale, MS)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the East Union Urchins (Blue Springs, MS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. North Pontotoc will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Urchins go into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 84-54 non-league win over Vardaman (Vardaman, MS).
