South Dakota High School Basketball - Philip can't hold off Jones County

The Philip Scotties basketball team (Philip, SD), was nudged 55-50 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Jones County Coyotes (Murdo, SD)

The Coyotes now possess a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wall for a B Region 7 battle on Friday, January 5. Jones County will battle a Eagles team coming off a 60-57 non-league win over Parkston (Parkston, SD). The Eagles record now stands at 4-2.

The Scotties (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Hill City (Hill City, SD). The Rangers come into the non-league battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Hill City edged Spearfish (Spearfish, SD), 54-51, in a non-league battle.
