Lake Cormorant (Lake Cormorant, MS) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Tunica Academy Blue Devils (Tunica, MS), 72-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lake Cormorant upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The host Grenada (Grenada, MS) to play the Chargers in a 6A Region 1 bout on Friday, January 5. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 5-9. Grenada won 75-69 in their recent non-league bout against New Albany (New Albany, MS)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Delta Streets Academy Lions (Greenwood, MS) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 15. Tunica Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
