Lake Forest Spartans (Felton, DE) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Sussex Academy Seahawks (Georgetown, DE), 17-13 in a league bout.

With the win, Lake Forest upgrades its record to 8-0 on the season. The Spartans host Delmar (Delmar, DE) to play the Wildcats in a Henlopen - Southern bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Delmar lost 39-23 in their recent league bout against Early College (Dover, DE)

Next up, the Seahawks play the Laurel Bulldogs (Laurel, DE) in a Henlopen - Southern bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Sussex Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 67-54 non-league loss to St. Mark's (Wilmington, DE).
