Southern Boone Eagles (Ashland, MO) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Owensville Dutchmen (Owensville, MO), 65-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southern Boone upgrades its record to 10-1 on the season. The Eagles host Newburg (Newburg, MO) to clash with the Wolves in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 7-2. Newburg won 60-50 in their recent non-league bout against Steelville (Steelville, MO)

Next up, the Dutchmen clash with the Pacific Indians (Pacific, MO) in a Four Rivers bout, on Friday, January 5. Owensville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 49-46 non-league loss to Newburg (Newburg, MO).
