The Bear Lake Bears (Montpelier, ID) basketball nipped the host Malad Dragons (Malad, ID), 53-50 in Thursday's league test.
The Bears (11-2) will now prepare for their test against Aberdeen (Aberdeen, ID). The Tigers go into the 2A South East Idaho test with a 4-9 record. In their last test, Aberdeen was tipped by West Side (Dayton, ID), 45-34, in a league test.
The Dragons now own a 12-2 record. They play next when they host Soda Springs for a 2A South East Idaho test on Saturday, January 6. Malad will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 51-29 non-league win over Star Valley (Afton, WY). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-9.
