Bethlehem Catholic Hawks (Bethlehem, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Freedom Patriots (Bethlehem, PA), 53-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Bethlehem Catholic upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Hawks travel to Lancaster Catholic (Lancaster, PA) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 8-1. Lancaster Catholic won 60-30 in their recent non-league bout against Eastern Lebanon County (Myerstown, PA)

Next up, the Patriots play the Liberty Hurricanes (Bethlehem, PA) in a Lehigh Valley bout, on Monday, January 8. Freedom will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Hurricanes go into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 60-45 non-league loss to Gwynedd Mercy Academy (Gwynedd Valley, PA).
