Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bloomington Purple Raiders (Bloomington, IL), 58-32 in a league bout.

With the victory, Normal Community upgrades its record to 18-1 on the campaign. The Ironmen host Lincoln (Lincoln, IL) to play the Railsplitters in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Railsplitters come into the bout with a record of 19-0. Lincoln won 54-20 in their recent league bout against Glenwood (Chatham, IL)

Next up, the Purple Raiders play the Dunlap Eagles (Dunlap, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Bloomington will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 57-51 league loss to Morton (Morton, IL).
