Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals (Montebello, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Mary Star of the Sea Stars (San Pedro, CA), 66-16 in a league bout.

With the win, Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary upgrades its record to 10-8 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Pioneer (Whittier, CA) to play the Titans in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Pioneer won 64-50 in their recent league bout against Oxford Academy (Cypress, CA)

Next up, the Stars play the Torrance Tartars (Torrance, CA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 8. Mary Star of the Sea will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Tartars go into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 56-46 non-league loss to Flagstaff (Flagstaff, AZ).
