Omaha Christian Academy Eagles (Omaha, NE) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Heartland Christian (Council Bluffs, IA), 38-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Omaha Christian Academy upgrades its record to 2-5 on the season. The Eagles host Lewiston (Lewiston, NE) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-10. Lewiston lost 32-14 in their recent non-league bout against Cedar Bluffs (Cedar Bluffs, NE)

Next up, the play the Missouri Valley Big Reds (Missouri Valley, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 8. Heartland Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Big Reds go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 51-41 non-league loss to Jefferson (Council Bluffs, IA).
