The Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the host Onaway Cardinals to 44 in the Cardinals league victory on Thursday.

The Cardinals now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hillman for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9.

The Cardinals (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against St. Mary Cathedral (Gaylord, MI). The Snowbirds come into the Ski-Valley contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, St. Mary Cathedral edged Mancelona (Mancelona, MI), 52-19, in a league contest.
