Liberty County Bulldogs (Bristol, FL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Wewahitchka Gators (Wewahitchka, FL), 48-26 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Liberty County upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Sneads (Sneads, FL) to play the Pirates in a 1A District 3 bout on Friday, January 5. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 3-7.

Next up, the Gators play the Jefferson County Tigers (Monticello, FL) in a 1A District 4 bout, on Friday, January 5. Wewahitchka will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 31-23 non-league win over St. John Paul II (Tallahassee, FL).
