The Oakland Oakers basketball team scored 38 points and restricted the visiting Reedsport to 20 in the Oakers league victory on Thursday.
The Oakers now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bandon for a 2A Valley Coast contest on Saturday, January 6. Oakland will battle a Tigers team coming off a 78-13 league win over Illinois Valley (Cave Junction, OR). The Tigers record now stands at 10-2.
The (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Waldport (Waldport, OR). The Irish come into the 2A Valley Coast contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Waldport prevailed over Gold Beach (Gold Beach, OR), 41-13, in a league contest.
