Sulligent Blue Devils (Sulligent, AL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Winston County Yellowjackets (Double Springs, AL), 67-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Sulligent upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Blue Devils host South Lamar (Millport, AL) to clash with the Stallions in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Stallions go into the bout with a record of 0-5. South Lamar lost 54-35 in their recent non-league bout against Fayette County (Fayette, AL)

Next up, the Yellowjackets clash with the Lynn Bears (Lynn, AL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Winston County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 50-32 league loss to Brilliant (Brilliant, AL).
