With the victory, Western Albemarle improves its record to 8-0 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Louisa County (Mineral, VA) to play the Lions in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 5-4. Louisa County won 60-12 in their recent non-league challenge against Goochland (Goochland, VA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Monticello will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Fighting Hornets come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 30-13 league win over Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA).
