In Saturday's league contest, the host West Forsyth Wolverines basketball team scored a close 70-64 triumph over the Alpharetta Raiders.

The Wolverines (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Lambert (Suwanee, GA). The Longhorns go into the AAAAAA Region 6 contest with a 13-2 record. In their last contest, Lambert nipped Dacula (Dacula, GA), 68-45, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Raiders battle the South Forsyth War Eagles (Cumming, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 6 contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Alpharetta will attempt to better on its 2-13 season record. The War Eagles go into the contest with a 6-10 record after their 79-55 non-league loss to Chattahoochee (Alpharetta, GA).
