The Anniston Bulldogs (Anniston, AL) basketball edged the visiting Piedmont Bulldogs (Piedmont, AL), 59-53 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 10-3 record. They play next when they host Handley for a 4A Area 8 bout on Tuesday, January 7. Anniston will play a Tigers team coming off a 45-43 non-league loss to Central of Clay County (Lineville, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 5-5.
With the loss, Piedmont falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Glencoe (Glencoe, AL) to play the Yellowjackets in a 3A Area 12 bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 15-4. Glencoe won 74-65 in their recent non-league bout against Pell City (Pell City, AL)
