In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Catlin Gabel Eagles basketball team scored a good 55-47 triumph over the St. Mary's Crusaders.
The Eagles (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Westside Christian (Lake Oswego, OR). The Eagles go into the 3A Lewis & Clark contest with a 8-0 record. In their last contest, Westside Christian topped Harrisburg (Harrisburg, OR), 56-33, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Crusaders confront the South Umpqua Lancers (Myrtle Creek, OR) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. St. Mary's will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Lancers go into the contest with a 7-4 record after their 57-32 non-league win over Myrtle Point (Myrtle Point, OR).
