In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Lake Pointe Academy Mariners basketball team scored a big 81-55 triumph over the Kingdom Leadership Academy Chargers.

The Mariners (10-2) will now prepare for their contest against Westgate Christian (Spartanburg, SC). The Eagles go into the South Carolina Christian AA - Piedmont B contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Westgate Christian was trounced by Anderson Christian (Anderson, SC), 75-23, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Chargers battle the Lake Norman Christian Lions (Davidson, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 10. Kingdom Leadership Academy will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Lions go into the contest with a 12-8 record after their 67-62 non-league win over Charlotte Elite Academy (Charlotte, NC).
