The Wildcats come into the test with a 22-5 record after their 82-70 league win over Carroll (Corpus Christi, TX).

The Trojans (2-20) will now prepare for their test against Flour Bluff (Corpus Christi, TX). The Hornets come into the 5A Region IV District 29 test with a 13-13 record. In their last test, Flour Bluff was routed by Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial (Corpus Christi, TX), 93-43, in a league test.
