In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting East Central Eagles basketball team scored a big 80-54 win over the Fond du Lac Ojibwe Ogichida Ogichida.

The Eagles (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Moose Lake/Willow River (Moose Lake, MN). The Rebels come into the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Moose Lake/Willow River was trounced by Pequot Lakes (Pequot Lakes, MN), 78-25, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Ogichida battle the North Woods grizzlies (Cook, MN) in a A Section 7 contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Fond du Lac Ojibwe Ogichida will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record. The grizzlies come into the contest with a 7-3 record after their 80-53 non-league loss to Ely (Ely, MN).
