The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Effie Kokrine Charter Warriors (Fairbanks, AK) and the host Walter Northway Warriors (Northway, AK), saw Effie Kokrine Charter's basketball team top Walter Northway by a tally of 78-65.
The Warriors now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Tok for a 2A Interior bout on Friday, January 24.
With the loss, Walter Northway falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Tri-Valley (Healy, AK) to play the Warriors in a 1A Golden Heart bout on Wednesday, January 8. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Tri-Valley won 56-33 in their recent non-league bout against Nanwalek (Nanwalek, AK)
