In Saturday's league contest, the host Elko Indians basketball team scored a big 60-39 win over the Lowry Buckaroos.

The Indians (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Fernley (Fernley, NV). The Vaqueros come into the 3A Northern - East contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Fernley smashed Dayton (Dayton, NV), 54-30, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Buckaroos battle the Spring Creek Spartans (Spring Creek, NV) in a 3A Northern - East contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Lowry will attempt to better on its 5-8 season record. The Spartans come into the contest with a 9-5 record after their 62-32 league win over Churchill County (Fallon, NV).
